Our dedicated research team’s focus is on quality, added-value research and discussion of the key drivers of companies outside the ASX 100. Bligh’s unique conversation style of written research is well established and recognised amongst institutional investors.
The experienced institutional equity sales team has between them more than 45 years in financial markets and well and truly understands the needs of institutional investors.
The sales trading team has full trading capability, including IOS and Bloomberg. All client transactions are settled through the UBS 3PEC platform and clients are afforded the security of UBS as counterparty to their trades with Bligh Capital Securities.
The Securities business also has a corporate capability in its own right, sourcing and originating equity transactions.
Bligh Capital Securities has taken the initiative to establish a joint venture in Mumbai, called Auroch Advisory LLP, more details below. Bligh has already undertaken a number of transactions with major Indian corporations in the Australian market and has the capability to further exploit the Indian corporate market on behalf of Australian companies, investors and vice versa.
Expertise and Capabilities
Bligh's three principals, Shane Bannan, Tim Powditch and Adam Weir have more than 75 years experience in financial markets between them. All have held senior positions in global financial institutions and have transferred the capabilities and knowledge gained into the niche operations of Bligh Capital Securities.
The Research department has three dedicated research analysts specialising in smaller Australian Industrial companies – most typically ASX ex-100. The research team covers more than 90 companies, all accompanied with full models.
Bligh offers a financial modelling data service to institutional fund managers.
Research is written on a weekly basis and is focussed on adding opinion and value rather than simply reporting facts. Bligh also writes on each company covered during reporting seasons.
Company contact is paramount to Bligh's analysis.

Bligh Capital Securities works closely with Bligh Capital Partners in referring corporate partners and assisting in the execution of corporate transactions. Our analytical capability and distribution strength adds to the combined group's offering.
